Why the Gap?

Jun 10 – Sep 7: The weekly wrap report switched to tracking cumulative sold totals (not incremental wraps) as shows began performing. Those data points are not plotable as velocity. The gap is a reporting format change — not a sales void.

Sep–Nov: Fall Leg Pattern

Fall leg shows have shorter on-sale windows (~90–120 days vs 160+ days for summer). Velocity is steady at 9–14K per period, with expected acceleration within 3–4 weeks of each show date.

Routing Best Practices: Cross-Border Positioning

Preferred: End-of-Tour Cluster

Route Canadian dates as a dedicated 4–6 show cluster at the end of a US leg. Minimizes border crossings, amortizes carnet cost across multiple shows, and allows dedicated advance work for Canadian promoters.

Regional Logic: East then West

Toronto/Montreal naturally pair with NYC/Boston routing. Vancouver/Edmonton pair with Pacific Northwest. Avoid routing Toronto mid-midwest-run — the dead-leg cost and border time erode most of the margin gained.

Mexico: One-In, One-Out

Mexico City/Guadalajara typically work as a standalone 2-show run added to the beginning or end of a Southwest US swing. The carnet + work visa load makes single-show Mexico routing almost never financially viable.
